Twenty key lessons I have learnt in my scientific career until now

 

1.       Accumulation of lots of knowledge without application is basically worthless!!!

2.       Being responsive rather than reactive is a sign of your maturity as a human being.

3.       Bigger success needs bigger timeline, you cannot get best quality of mangoes within a few months after sowing the seed, you may nurture the tree for years, but when you will have patience you will be massively rewarded automatically. This is the system of success.

4.       Consistent small achievements have big compounding effect, those build big success eventually. So work consistently for small achievements.

5.       Gaining experience is a long term process; go slow but be determined to obtain experiences of work. Because experience is the only thing which is highly paid.

6.       Great persons work to create great impact which sustains forever.

7.       If you are surrounded by enthusiastic and optimistic people, you are being accelerated towards success. Your companions matter a lot. Avoid people who always try to bring you down with their frustrations.

8.       If you get inspired by seeing successful people instead of jealous then you got the key to build up your life.

9.       Instead comparing yourself with others, know your own specific skill, work on it more and more consistently and you will be rewarded as an expert!!!

10.   It is important to get into brain storming skills, because if you train your brain to understand critical topics or to learn complex skills your brain will be more powerful. Therefore, you need to come out of your comfort zone and put effort to learn which is tough to learn.

11.   It is tough to reach on the top, but it is tougher to be on the top consistently.

12.   May be you are not great yet, but there is no flaw in trying to create impact with your work.

13.   Money can be spent to save time, but time cannot be spent to save money. Because, spent money can be earned again, but spent time cannot be.

14.   Nobody can make us happy or sorrow, we make ourselves!!!

15.   Patience is the only tool to win the game.

16.   Reading and learning are the most important forms of investing. Investing in self. Reading builds knowledge, learning builds skills. These will be massively compounded with time. What more do you need to be healthy, wealthy and wise?

17.   Success and failure come side by side. Accept the failures and use it as fuel to run your engine towards success. Look back and see everything what you have achieved this year and look forward and see what you can achieve in the coming year.

18.   The major equipment in scientific research is Brain...therefore, you can do research anytime you want.

19.   Try after try may results in failure after failure, but each failure will make stronger the foundation of your success. Keep trying...

20.   Trying again and again increases chances of getting lucky. More you try more you near to good luck. Keep trying.
